2.Characteristics and applications of Ti-copper (Ti-copper-Ti) clad metals, copper base titanium clad metals, (Ti-copper explosive welded materials)

1)Ti-copper have high electrical and heat conductivity, which makes them the basic materials for electric power transmission and heat transfer engineering. With the shortage of copper resource, substituting aluminum for copper is becoming an inevitable trend. Compared with copper, aluminum has poor welding performance, bigger surface contact resistance, so it is still difficult to use aluminum instead of copper making many parts directly. Cladding a layer copper on the surface of aluminum plate, the product copper-aluminum clad plate can improve surface contact resistance and welding properties of aluminum, which reduces the cost and weight. Many important parts of heat exchanger, electric transmission, and electrical equipments, such as cooling fins, collector tubes, transition plates, etc. are normally made of copper-aluminum clad metals. In the same way, copper-clad-aluminum conductive wire is also a good application of metal clad metals in electric power, electronic industry. Copper-clad-aluminum conductive wire overcomes the problems of contact and creep of pure aluminum wires; compared with the pure copper wires, it can reduce the expensive copper consumption.

2)Applications for electric conduction: Ti-copper clad metals used as transition materials for low voltage electric appliances; transformer belts; solar panels, etc.; copper-aluminum clad terminals, Ti-copper clad transition plates, copper-aluminum clad clamps, copper-aluminum clad gaskets, etc, for high voltage distribution; Ti-steel clad transition joints, Ti-aluminum clad conductive bars; copper-aluminum clad electrodes; copper-aluminum clad conductive arms, etc, for electrolysis unit.

3)Applications for heat conduction: car water tank belts; cooling fins; collector tubes; hot food tablewares; etc.
